Phil from IT is a limited series, showing the depth of the real life hatred, contempt and disgust of women at the hands of misogynist extremists. Imagine the pure exhilaration Patrick Bateman (American Psycho, 2000) feels as he chases the woman down the stairs wielding a chainsaw laughing hysterically; then face yourself with the catatonic fear and agonising terror of Sarah Tobias (The Accused, 1988).
Emotional and stomach churning, the horror in Phil from IT is made all the worse because this happens. It happens everyday. You know people like this, you might not know it, but you do.
